iROO x RDSS social responsibility campaign

You know, I can be quite a complain queen. Although I know I should give thanks in all circumstances, more often than not, I find myself grumbling, sometimes a lot, especially when the day was filled with endless household chores and …whines.

February was bad and while I know I should find every opportunity to bless others, I was gripped with self-pity. “Oh my poor SAHM life! I want to go back to work!”

It was not until folks at church shared about the many people who are not as fortunate as us and a turn up at the iROO X RDSS social responsibility campaign launch that I realised I am blessed, way too blessed.

iROO, a leading Taiwanese fast fashion label that was established since 1999, announces its 5 years corporate social responsibility campaign supporting the Rare Disorders Society of Singapore (RDSS). In this video, we could get a glimpse of some of the rare disorders faced by patients.

The key objectives of this campaign are to raise public awareness on rare disorders and educating the public to be empathetic towards such patients and their family members. There will be a series of videos such as the above to share with the public and to further create more awareness, talks will be arranged with schools and companies.

iROO has launched the limited edition ‘Know Me’ charity t-shirt for this campaign and all nett proceeds will be donated to RDSS. iROO hopes to raise up to S$10,000 for this campaign. Available in two colours – black and white – this t-shirt retails at S$68.80 at all iROO retail stores from 28 February till 15 April 2018.

Here’s me showing a little support and encouraging you to do likewise, if you are in any way moved to want to support.

The Hornbill is a key icon of this campaign. Hornbill belongs to a rare species that live with their single partner till their death and they stay together as a family. The families of RDSS are just like the Hornbill families, staying together and caring for one another.
