Today marks the last day of school in CV for the boy. We have decided to pull him out of this school because of logistical issues.
Distance does matter when it comes to school. When the girl enters formal school this year, she has to ride with us when I send the boy to and from kindy in the morning. When we go back home, we try to complete her school homework and do some reading. Before I know it, I have to stop what I am doing with her and rush to prepare for lunch before we set off for kindy again to pick up the boy.
There isn’t much quantity in terms of time with her, let alone quality. Every day is a rush and quite easily, temper flares.
It’s with much heaviness in the heart that we have to stop sending Dan in this kindy. We found a school near home and it only took us ten minutes to send him to and from home. The curriculum seems to be slower but to me, that is secondary; I can always teach him.
Certainly hope that the boy could fit in the new school and blossom.
Only time will tell.
