We just had our second visit to the gynae. The first thing Dr Poon asked me was whether I was ok, with a worried look on his face. Perplexed, I shrugged and said ok and he told me that it’s a blessing that I have not encountered morning sickness.
During the scan, Dr Poon told me that Quekling is growing well and I could see the heartbeat! It’s….erm…fast! Dr Poon smiled and told me that this was a good sign, signalling that Quekling is strong and now measures at 9mm!
And just as I thought everything was going fine, I suffered from food poisoning yesterday morning. It was so painful that I thought something bad was surely going to happen. Panic-stricken, I called upon my colleague for advice and then Dr Poon. It was definitely food poisoning and I should go to a GP soon. Ken was already off to school and I had to get mom to come over asap as I did not have the strength to walk well.
Thankfully, all was well albeit a little discomfort here and there. Mom accompanied me to have porridge after sending sis and her family off to the airport. I’m thankful that I have my family around to go through this period. Sis is always there to answer my questions, all thanks to technology and bro will now and then advise me not to do this and that via skype. Having support is very important and living near them is a greater bonus!
And I hope things won’t get worse! I need to get my work done!
