Moving in…

This is the current scene in Boston. Students are flocking into the city as the new academic year starts.

For us? We have about 3.5 more months to go before we head back! So fast! I assure you, we will not have so much stuff to pack.

Looking at our current situation, I couldn’t help but thank God for His timing for various events. Of course, we were baffled at the same time but as we learn to trust in the Almighty, things seem to fall into place. Even if it doesn’t, we have the confidence that He’s in control.

Having started my volunteer/internship with PSS, I have now less time to cook and do the household chores. I would be in school from 8.30am to 2.30pm and when I come back, Ken would be off to his lessons. I would have to plan meals beforehand and prepare extra so that he could have his lunch (and mine too). There would be less interaction between us since we will both be in school at different timings which is what we will be experiencing when we go back home and work. Many other couples have experienced that already. I guess we were just a tad slow/late. =p

We have been blessed that all this while, we were kept together most of the time. We were colleagues and so naturally, we saw each other daily and after work, our couple-time continued. Our move to Boston has taught us more about each other and strangely, we have not discovered such aspects of us when we stayed with our parents. Thus, our stay in Boston has prepared us for the challenges ahead when we move into our new apartment, with the various decisions to make.

It has all been good and we are optimistic and thankful. We are kept busier this Fall but I believe there is a reason for that; we need to watch what He is doing. We have to start our engines and move up the gear and when we go back, hopefully, we will adjust quickly.
